Architectural training in most schools has become an issue nowadays.
Some schools are stressing the technical side, training students to pass licensing exams, others are just bathing in useless theories without teaching the vocabulary architecture.
We should revert back to a revised modern version of the Ecole des Beaux Arts , before its degradation in 1968.
There is no other valid teaching that the Master/Disciple method, that is however provided that teachers are practicing architects capable of bringing each individual student's inner and original creativity.
I believe that first year students should only do hand drawings and only move to computerized drawings after the second year.
Only then, shall we form real architects capable of creating beauty.
